Tune In Tokyo...

Maternity leave=more time for television!

Since Oprah's been on my 'not' list lately, I've done some channel surfing and happily found Ellen! Love her sense of humor, her quirkiness, her dance moves and jokes! She definitely has a way of warding off the post-baby blues! I suggest you set the DVR and get ready to feel GOOD after watching her show. My next favorite show is 'Parks and Recreation.' Amy Poehler is so incredibly talented and I find myself laughing out loud during this show! I'm thinking it replaces 'The Office' as my new favorite prime-time TV show. *gasp!*

And of course we have to include a *FAIL* in this post. That award would go to 'Platinum Babies' on WE. A $50,000 nursery? Dolce and Gabbana onsies? Chanel baby slippers?

I caught an episode today and had to laugh at the $25,000 crib... which the baby probably won't sleep in anyway. Just don't let Reagan see this show... mama can't afford a $100,000 stroller! :)

Girls day out...

On Saturday I got the chance to swap out diaper duty for a 'big girl's' day out with my girl, Nettie! We attended the Holiday Open House at Sbrocco and had a blast! For $5 you get to sample all the wines you wish at various tables and they have great appetizers too. It was so refreshing to get out of the house and have some fun catching up with my girl!

Here's the Web site to check out upcoming events:

This year I discovered this great new wine by Yali. Proceeds of every sale go to help preserve the rain forests in Chile where the wine is produced. For $10 a bottle, it's a steal!

Happy wine tasting!

Hawkeye baby...

A Saturday during football season wouldn't be complete without donning the Hawkeye gear and cheering on our favorite team!

Reagan was able to get into the spirit yesterday, even though the Hawks couldn't pull out a win.

Prepped and ready for the game!
Go Hawks!
All that cheering wears a girl out!

2 weeks already...

Pretty soon it'll be 2 years! Can't believe Reagan is 2 weeks old already.

She had her check-up yesterday and the Dr. said she looks 'wonderful!'. Always love a good report. She is weighing 9lb 13 oz and is 21 in. in length. She lost her umbilical cord last night and still has a hard time figuring out how to burp! We are working on it though...

I'm starting to feel very sleep deprived so I think a late morning nap is in my future. Here are some pics from the past week:
Her favorite place to sleep~ on daddy's arm!

She loves her playtime mat~
A little cranky after bathtime~
She loves being in the swing!

It's a bird, It's a plane...

No it's... SUPER Grandma!

My mom graciously dedicated of week of her time to come stay with us as we got settled in with Reagan. And what a lifesaver she was! There was a hot meal on the table every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The house got cleaned, the laundry got done, and she was even up with me in the middle of the night, helping to tend to Reagan since Andy had to go back to work and I was still recovering from surgery.

So many great memories were made that week and Andy and I are so grateful for all her help and advice! Thanks mom~ we love you! xo

Time Flies...

...when there's a newborn in the house! I can't believe Reagan is over a week old already!

I must admit I'm slowly getting used to the multiple middle-of-the-night feedings... my baby loves to eat! And no, the pacifier trick doesn't work on her. She's too smart! She also loves her 'tummy time' and will only sleep in her pappasan chair. Who knew she would detest the bassinet so much?!

The only reason I am calm right now is because my mom (aka Super Grandma) has been here helping us out all week. But that deserves a post all on its own! I don't know what we would do without her. Well I do know. Cry.

Reagan's one week appt. went great this week- she is slowly gaining back the weight she lost while being in the hospital and her jaundice is going away too. So thankful for a healthy update!
Here are some pics from the past couple of days~

Welcome baby Wallace!

We are so proud to announce the arrival of our lil peanut!

Reagan Lynn was born via scheduled c-section on October 27, 2009. She weighed 9lb 7oz and was 20 3/4 in. in length. We had a rocky start with trying to BF and keeping her satisfied but have since started supplementing with formula. Andy and I are learning the routine, if there even is one! and are enjoying every minute of being parents!

It's true what they say, loving a child is unlike anything you have known or can prepare for. It's been amazing this past week and we are so blessed to have Reagan in our lives! Thanks to everyone for visiting and for all the well-wishes!
