11 Weeks and growing...

Today Lil P is 11 weeks and growing...

and growing she is! Houston: we have a growth spurt! Formula is her best friend right now- going through almost two cans a week. She loves to eat up to 8 oz. every feeding and I'm wondering when we're going to have to break out the rice cereal. I'm sure it will be before the recommended 4 months.

She loves to bat at her toys and try to grab them... and is averaging 9 hours of sleep a night. Let's hope that continues next week after she transitions to daycare!

Breaking up the winter grind...

What better way to break up the winter blah's than with a good old fashioned road trip!

Annette, her sissy and I loaded up the car and took off for an adventure in Kansas City last weekend. And it was just what the doctor ordered! We ate, drank, shopped and checked out the sites in the newly remodeled Power and Light District. The perfect mini-getaway!

10 Weeks and growing...

Today Reagan is 10 weeks and growing!

After quickly realizing her 3-month outfits were getting way too snug, we transitioned to her 6-month clothing stash. And you could tell it was instant relief for her! Her mama appreciates a nice elastic waistband and I knew she would too. Like mother, like daughter. Ha!

She is still sleeping like a champ! 8 hours straight most nights...and wakes up smiling and ready to eat! We'd like to think she's growing some more hair but she is still sportin the peach fuzz.

She starts daycare in a week and a half so we are gearing up for that transition. Here are some pics from the week:

New Year, New Me!

Now that Lil P is here it's definitely time to focus on taking off some baby weight and setting a good example for her when she gets older. Andy and I vowed not to raise our child on our own fast food addictions. Now is the perfect time to start living the life we should be living.

Here is my 'to-do' list:
1) Join a gym- check!

2) Join Weight Watchers- check!

3) Go through fridge and throw out all Pillsbury products and all products resembling Pillsbury products- check! (Okay, okay... that one tube of cinnamon rolls hidden at the bottom of my fridge is for a rainy day when I really need a boost- I swear!)

4) Be thankful for a new blessing every day- check!

5) Quit worrying about my job- okay, no check here quite yet. Maybe will have some good news in a few weeks...

I am not going to call these New Year's resolutions- I don't want to set myself up to fail. They are simply choices I will try to make each day to reach my goal. Of being skinny. -ha!

Week in Review~ Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010!

Whew! A busy but fun week!

Tuesday: Reagan and I got to meet our besties Adrian, Mary and Jules out for lunch at Panera! The girls exchanged their Christmas gifts and Reagan got an adorable pig that shakes and plays music. She LOVES it! Thanks Mary and Jules! Wednesday night: Our Annual Martini night at the Cosmo lounge, downtown Des Moines. What a perfect way to spend a snowy night- with a great group of friends and an amazing assortment of different martini's!

Thursday night: Andy, Reagan and I headed over to the Crawford's to celebrate the new year! We had a blast playing a new card game, Golf, and feasted on so much food! (Just in case you're wondering and you've caught the theme of my week, yes, Weight Watcher's is getting a new member this week).

Saturday: Reagan got some Gramma Kollenkark time! Since Andy was going ice fishing for the day with the guys, Gramma K headed down to Des Moines to cuddle (spoil) Reagan. We had a great time shopping, eating at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch and hangin at home. So glad she doesn't live farther than 2 hours away! :)
