Summer Fun!

Summer vacation is not that much fun for working adults, especially Monday through Friday... so when our friends invited us to go boating on Saturday, I was ecstatic!  I love boating and being on the water truly symbolizes a fun summer vacation kinda day. They were taking us to a lake I've never been on before so I was really looking forward to it.

When the day started out cloudy I have to admit I was a little bummed but it turned out to be the perfect boating day. Not too hot yet warm enough to get in the water.  Fun times with good friends!

Getting ready:

On the water:

We had a little friend waiting for us on the boat dock:

Reagan had fun celebrating her friend, Sage's 6th birthday!  A pool party with a surprise appearance from Ariel made the party one of the best, Rea said.  She had fun being with her friends and swimming!

Sunday Funday:

We made it to Adventure Bay for a couple hours of fun before the rain came in... Reagan conquered her fear of the wave pool and spent almost an hour swimming in the waves. So proud of her!

Arrrgggghhhh matey!

Her favorite, vanilla ice cream sandwiches...

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Dance Recital 2015

Reagan has been practicing all year for her recital and it was finally time!

We are trying out a new dance studio this year and she has really enjoyed it. The theme was, "Rule the Stage," which I thought was fitting as all the kids did such an amazing job.

She did ballet, tap, jazz and tumbling.  Two rehearsals and five recitals later... we had a very tired but ecstatic little girl. We are so proud of her and the great job she has done with dance this year.

"Mommy, this was the best day ever! I feel like I won a competition!"

Rehearsals:

All ready for the big dance:

Last day of preschool

I'm trying not to do the ugly cry... one year of preschool already done. I'm thinking about how fast this past school year went.  And if I think this year went fast, high school is going to be a slap in the face.  I know you can't slow down time but trying to remember to be in the moment... a clean house can wait, laundry can wait... making time for memories is what I need to remember.

Here is how our morning started. I got down her favorite dinosaur sippy cup (with straw, just how she likes it) for Rea's orange juice.  She gave me a cute little laugh, like, 'Oh mom you're so funny.'  And then she promptly announced that Kindergartners drink out of coffee cups.

*Insert sob here*

Next step was a much needed haircut that I soon realized made her look years older...

*insert sob here*

I thought I was going to handle this 'preschool is over' thing much better than the day seemed to be going. Then she looked so cute and grown up for last day of school pics!

*insert sob here*

We then attended her preschool party and it was so fun to see her in her class with all her friends. They danced and sang, recited nursery rhymes and then got the coolest binders from her teacher filled with all of her work throughout the year. She couldn't wait to get home and show it to us.

Preschool has been a very good year for her and I'm so excited to see what the next school year holds... we are so proud of you Reagan!  Happy last day of preschool!
