First, the mechanic...

And now the dentist.

They're all out to get me! Don't they know it's Christmas? Don't they know I may be losing my job next year? Don't they know that money doesn't grow on trees (thanks mom for that little piece of advice!).


So by now maybe you can tell my regular dentist appt. for a routine cleaning did not go so well. One crown and two cavities on the menu. I was crying louder than the 5 year-old in the chair next to me.


I think the cheaper option would be to just pull all my teeth and go with these:

Gee and to think only a couple posts down I was asking for the white stuff...well, 15.8 inches later, I think we're good! And by good I mean for the entire winter. And yes I know winter hasn't even officially begun yet.

6 Weeks and growing...

Today Lil P is 6 weeks old!

And yesterday she had her first unscheduled Dr. appt. Unfortunately, she caught what Andy and I have been battling for a couple weeks now- a nasty viral infection. Poor thing is on Tylenol and hoping that helps her to feel better soon. On a side note, she did weigh in at 12 lbs. 7 oz.- So she hasn't lost her appetite!

She has been smiling now if she's in the right mood and loves to look at the Christmas tree lights. Tonight she'll make the big move from her bassinet to her crib! We hope her favorite musical seahorse will help ease the transition.

Eating for 2?!

Okay so even though Reagan will be 6 weeks old tomorrow... I'm still eating for 2. Who's the other person you ask? Good question. I'd like to know! For some reason I can't get back to my 'Weight Watcher' ways. I'm blaming the weather, Pillsbury, recovering from major surgery... anything but blaming myself! :)

So yesterday while reading Juice, I stumbled across the DMJuice Fitness Challenge. And what did I do? I applied! And not only did I apply, but I talked Andy into being my team member. Now the trick is, they have to pick you. It's not like everyone who applies gets a free gym membership for the next 10 weeks.

So here's hoping they'll take one look at my post-baby pic and say, 'Whoa, that girl is still eating for 2! We need to help her!' I'll keep you posted- who knows, maybe in 3 weeks I'll be ditching the cookie dough and lacing up my sneakers!

Turkey Day 2009

Despite trying to ward off my horrible cough/cold, we had a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving this year.

Thursday we spent the day at Scott and B's- where we enjoyed lots of delicious food and a warm fire to keep us cozy!

Here is a pic of Jack and Evie giving their cousin some love... it was so cute!

On Friday, my parents came down and we had Andy's amazing turkey! His key is the brine and even though this bird took a lot of work, it was worth the wait!
