Another year...bites the dust...

*sigh*

Another year older... inching closer and closer to 40 every day. Hence the facial serum purchase this weekend that is supposed to make me look like a teenager again. The sad part is, I can barely find time to brush my teeth, how am I supposed to have time to apply magic face serum every day as well? I think I'll learn to love the wrinkles.

But despite the clock that keeps on ticking, I had a great birthday weekend! Friday night was spent at Andy's parent's celebrating with family. Saturday night was going out to dinner (and I think a little dancing was involved) with my girls. Sunday was recuperating and watching the Super Bowl with Andy and peanut.

Life can't get any better than this. :)

14 Weeks and growing...

Today Lil P is 14 weeks and growing...

This week brings routine... up every morning getting ready with daddy, playing with her friends at daycare, spending afternoons with mommy and then crashing from 5-8. Up for a quick bottle and play time and then back to bed for the night by 9:30 p.m.! I must say, it's nice to have a routine, no matter how long (or short!) it will last. I finally feel like I know her cues, her cries, her smiles and that we can fulfill her needs....

Today she practiced the exersaucer at daycare and did great! Her teacher thought she was ready since she's so tall and has great neck/head strength. It was so cute to see her having so much fun when I picked her up!

I also splurged and bought her a Sophie toy (see pic below)- I guess they are all the rage amongst the babes... we'll see how she likes it. But if the amount of drool equals teething, then she is definitely on her way!

Here are some pics from the week:

Exercise tip for parents...

Try getting a 2-month old, a 6-month old, a 2-year old and a 6-year old to not only lie still..but to lie still, look at the camera, smile on cue, not scream, not wiggle, not make funny faces...

If you can do this under five minutes, you're a genius and I want to know your secret.

If it takes you longer than five minutes, you've just lost a couple pounds in sweat. And you're welcome.

13 Weeks and growing...

Today peanut is 13 weeks and growing... another milestone started this week: the highchair! Andy and I always make it a point to eat together at the kitchen table every night, a family trait we want to instill in Reagan. It was getting harder to do without a place for her to sit with us so it was definitely time for a highchair.

This is also her 2nd week at daycare and it's going great! She loves her teachers and they love her, even if she doesn't nap during the day like all the other kids. Ha! She is the youngest in age but biggest in size- that's our healthy baby girl!

I have also noticed that she's grown out of her baby socks. Not a staple I've thought of to replace so that is on my to-do list this week. She is still the happiest baby on the block, especially when her belly's full and her diaper's dry!

Until next week! xo

My 2 favorite words...

Snow day!

Well in this case, ICE day! What a nice surprise to wake up and realize that my company was closed for the day. Just what I wanted~ some bonding time with Lil P! Since Reagan slept in til 8:00 I was able to catch a few more zzz's...and then we had a great day together!

Here are a couple pics of the ice on our windows:
Couldn't even see out our french doors:

So what better way to spend the day than...
Playing dress up!

Reading books!

Playing with toys!
And practicing the 'roll over':
Rolling...

Rolling....

Rolled!

Her look of, 'What the heck just happened?!'
What a great ice day!

Flowers make the world go round...

It's no secret, I love flowers. What girl doesn't?

So I was definitely cheered up today when I received not one but two sets of flowers on my first day back at work! Not only that but my desk was decorated so cute (Thanks Nettie!) with a 'Welcome Back' sign and a cute pic of Reagan on my computer. I was feelin the love!

So I survived my first day back and it actually wasn't too bad...but if you happened to be driving near Lil P's daycare this afternoon you would have seen a crazy woman sprinting inside. May or may not have been me... you'll never know. Okay, it was me.

Beautiful plant from 'Andy and Reagan'~ Very cool flowers, thanks Jodi!

Flowers make everything better!

12 Weeks and growing...

Today Reagan is 12 weeks and growing...Whew! What a roller coaster of a week!

Lil P started daycare and is adjusting quite well. Better than her parents! I, of course, expected her to be traumatized being away from me but (thankfully!) she is thriving. They keep her active all day long so she has been pretty tired these past two nights, which equals to 9 hours of sleep straight. We are blessed. Have I mentioned that before? :)

We've switched out her Playtex nipples too and she's now on 'Fast' leak. Like she needed anymore help with her eating habits- ha! She's discovered her hands and loves to try to reach out- not quite mastered the reach and grab yet but she's working on it.

Here are some pics from the week:

Almost catching up to her peeps!

Oops, note the outfit change. I didn't quite catch her spit up fast enough to save the outfit!

Couldn't resist the feet!

Loves to be on the go!

This look says, "I am mesmerized by the camera flash" and she immediately stops smiling~

Writing emails to her Gramma's~
Ride em cowgirl!

Practicing for Easter~

Until next week! xo
