41 Weeks and growing...

Today, Reagan is 41 weeks and growing!

This week brings... another Icubs baseball game, play time with her cousins and (finally!) crawling forward!

She finally got brave enough to put one knee in front of the other and crawled forward! She still prefers going backwards but at least she's trying! She also is no longer content to stay in her little play area in the family room. She is now dubbed, 'Reagan the Explorer' as she loves to test the limits of the family room boundaries!

She loves going for what she knows she can't have- TV remote, cell phone, power cables, fireplace- we are gently but firmly teaching the word 'no' and I think she gets it. At least she smiles and is usually easily distracted by something she CAN have.

She loved the pretzel with cheese sauce at the ball park- takes after her mommy! And loves trying to drink out of her sippy cup. Still hasn't gotten the hang of it yet without getting drenched but we're working on it.

She has her pre-surgery exam for tubes this week and her 9 month well-child check. Anxious to see her new stats! We also had her 9 month pics taken this past weekend so I'll post those when we get them back.

Here are some pics from the week:

"Hi mom!"
Loves to give Moosey kisses!

40 Weeks and growing...

Today, Reagan is 40 weeks and growing!

This week brings... crawling backwards, STILL teething and her first visit with the ENT Dr. It was a great informative visit where we had our fears reassured that she currently doesn't have any type of hearing loss from all of her ear infections.

She did, however, have fluid in her ears. It wasn't infected but gave the Dr. one more reason to sign her up for tubes! So we are taking the Dr.'s advice and scheduled her tube surgery for the middle of August. I'm glad we were able to get some answers, put a plan in place and look forward to happier times with tubes!

She is still refusing to crawl forward and will go backwards until...she gets stuck and looks for me or Andy to save her! She is still teething and her bottom 2 corner teeth are just waiting to break through. I sound like a broken record, huh?

We are trying to be more adventurous with having her try new foods and she loves drinking water! We are slowly working on the sippy cup but so far, she has only mastered getting soaking wet!

Here are some pics from the week:

Peek a boo!

Trying to stand up using mommy's legs...

Almost there!

She loves to scoot backwards until she is under her pack n play-

"What's up mom?"

Chatting to her blocks...

Just kickin back~ chillaxin and relaxin....

"Look mom I can stand! But DON'T let go of me!!"

Until next week! xo

39 Weeks and growing...

Today Reagan is 39 weeks and growing!

This week brings... 9 months! Baby girl has had a busy week this week- she started a brand new daycare, which we are so excited about! Our good friend Jen informed us of an opening at her in-home daycare provider's house so we jumped at the chance to switch Reagan to a more intimate setting, not to mention the cost savings. We couldn't be happier with her new daycare and Reagan fits right in with the other kids!

We also worked on meats this week, which peanut chowed down on. I don't think she's going to meet a meat she didn't like! :) We've also started giving her foods that Andy and I eat- so far she has loved it all!

She is working really hard at pulling herself up, using her toys as leverage and is still doing her own style of 'crawling.'

She had so much fun at a sleep over with G&G Wallace on Friday night and also got a little snuggle time in with Gramma K too on Saturday! Her bottom teeth are so ready to pop and we'll be so happy when they make an appearance!

Here are some pics from the week:

Miss Independent. "I can do it!"

See the shiny puddle? Straight projectile. Gotta love it.

Loves her new giraffe toy!

One of her favorite past times, reading with daddy~

Her first day at her new daycare- they went to a carnival at the library. Reagan had a blast and is sportin a couple stamp tattoos as mementos of a fun trip~

Loves playing ball~
"Here, you throw it and I'll catch it!"

9 months~

Remember when you could lay her down and she stayed there? Not anymore!

Loves playing with her snail, Gary~

"Enough pictures, I'm outta here mom."

Until next week! xo

Operation: "skinny jeans"

*sigh*

9 months of putting on baby weight... 9 months of trying to take it off. My last 3 lbs of baby weight are. not. budging. So folks, it's time to bring out the big guns~ aka the skinny jeans.

As I was perusing the aisles of Wal-Mart, I found a cheap pair of skinny jeans. And I got mad. I knew they wouldn't fit and wondered why only skinny people got the good deals?! Why do I have to pay $75 for a pair of jeans at *big girl stores that shall remain nameless* when others only have to pay $10?

So I devised my plan. I buy the jeans, hang them on my closet door, try them on once a week until they fit and then do the happy dance. SO easy, right? :)

Not quite. Although I must say they have motivated me enough to exercise every day this week. But did I mention I'm only on week 1? And I'm pretty sure I have to go to week... um, 50 until the jeans fit?

Stay tuned for status updates. I'll either end up using the jeans to make potholders for all my Pillsbury baking or I'll be doing the happy dance. Either way~ it's a win win, right?!

38 Weeks and growing...

Today, peanut is 38 weeks and growing!

This week brings... a frantic call from daycare on Monday morning. They couldn't calm her down, which is very unlike her. So we rushed to the Dr. only to discover ANOTHER ear infection. This time meant antibiotic shots and an ENT referral. She'll see the specialist in August and we are planning on tubes!

In developmental milestones, we realized that baby girl is learning how to reach out and pull- not good in the crib! While trying to put her down for a nap, we caught her red-handed trying to pull herself up on the crib bars. Time to lower the mattress!

She has also progressed to 'Stage 3' foods and gets to try meat this week! Well I guess if you can call Gerber pureed beef and turkey meat, then meat it is! :) We'll also try working with her sippy cup more and slowly working on taking away the bottle. That should be interesting!

We are on day 2 of the antibiotic shots. So far they just make her really tired but they do seem to be working- no more tears or pulling at her ears.

Here are some pics from the week:

"Who me crawl? Never!"
Movin on up! To the big girl bath tub- no more kitchen sink!

Just like daddy- crosses her feet when she sleeps.

Busy busy busy!

Band-aid on one leg...

Band-aid on the other leg...

Loves her walker toy!

Until next week! xoxo
