Happy 4th of July!

I always mentally prepare myself for the HOT temps on 4th of July weekend, sweating through fireworks and nursing sunburns. But this year was different... we had to dig out long pants and sweatshirts...my ideal temps are in the 60's and 70's. Despite not being able to have pool time and a few rain showers, we still managed to have a great time with friends!

July 2nd-
Celebrating early!

Bringing out the big dogs...

Best fun for a buck- glow jewelry!

Beautiful sunset from our driveway- we were able to see fireworks to the west of us.

Sparklers!

All tucked in with popcorn and cartoons... 6 kids getting along perfectly. Love our neighbors and friends!

July 3rd-

Our friends hosted the party this year and their neighbors promised a great light show.  We saw three sets of fireworks going off at once- an awesome time celebrating!

Ice cream cones and sweatshirts...

Hope everyone had a fun and relaxing holiday weekend!  Happy 4th- Land of the free, because of the brave!

VBS 2016

The theme for Vacation Bible School this year was Cave Quest- they always do such a neat job with characters and music each year. Lots of science was involved with learning about caves, all while rejoicing in His love for us.  I love seeing Rea with her friends, feeling the spirit and having the best time!

The kiddos raised almost $1,500 for Kid to Kid Operation!  Building homes for families in the US.

Exploring in the cave...

Worshiping with friends!

Our Pastor is the best, so great with the kiddos!

Singing 'this little light of mine'...

The finale- pie in the face!

Already looking forward to next year!

Adventure Bay 2016

2nd Annual Adventure Bay Adult day!

What's better than sun, water and being with friends?!  We celebrated our 2nd annual 'friends' day at Adventure Bay and had a blast!

View from our cabana:

Until next year!

Reagan and I also took a trip to Adventure Bay- both our 2nd time going this year but first time going together.  I love seeing how confident swim lessons have helped her be in the water. And....she can touch! She conquered all the slides over and over again and we had fun checking out the floating fish too.

Happy Swimming!

Experience Art!

I had always wanted to take Reagan to the local arts festival and felt she was at a good age this year. Despite the heat and a brief rain shower, we had lots of fun looking at and creating art!  We'll definitely go back next year.

We found a parking lot of bounce houses just a couple blocks from the festival and had to enjoy those first. Reagan worked up a sweat with all her bouncing!

They had a neat area called the Creative Kid Zone and Rea had fun creating different art-

Making a kite in honor of her Gramma K.:

Making a butterfly:

Bubble painting!

We enjoyed sno cones in the sculpture park before the rain hit:

A perfect afternoon with my favorite girl!
