Thankful Thursday

The past two years, our August month has been less than stellar.  Rea suffered complications from her tonsillectomy one year and then a bout of pneumonia the year after.  I'm so thankful we've had a healthy August this year (knock on wood!).

To celebrate the end of summer we had a fun night at Aland using our free arcade cards.  Rea tried (and loved!) a new ride, Lady Luck and she got a balloon from the juggler at the juggling show! I've never taken her through the little shops so we did that, rode the Underground and ate a yummy (so good but so not good for you) supper. It was the perfect mommy/daughter night while daddy had to work.

So thankful for these memories with Reagan!

Okay I relented on the poo pillow...she's been asking for weeks and this was the cheapest price so far... she was like a mini-celebrity carrying it around the park.  Kids kept coming up to her telling her 'nice poo!'  We had a good laugh!

Firsts

Reagan participated in her first ever Ninja Warrior workout class this weekend at a local gym. She got to try out the actual obstacle course that they use on the show.  She had a great time being a ninja warrior for a day!

Reagan got to attend her first birthday party at Sheer Madness. She has been wanting to go for awhile now and had so much fun celebrating her friend, Lilah's, birthday!  They did nails, light makeup and hair dos...then karaoke!

Firsts at Adventure Bay!

She finally convinced me she was old enough and brave enough to go down the big slides and try out the lily pads where the big kids hang out... she loved them both!  Glad she had the confidence to try them even though the 'worrier' in me was wishing she wouldn't!

I had the day off work yesterday since it was our daycare provider's birthday so Reagan and I met her friends at the Science Center for a morning of exploring...

Making bubbles and airplanes were the highlights!  Reagan also loved watching the movie about space. She shared lots of laughs with her friends. A great time!
