She was so excited as was I to be able to take time off work and go with her. Little did I know, the rest of the surrounding area schools would also be headed to the zoo for a field trip. I was so naive. :)
Despite two thousand plus kids and the heat and the 'no snack' rule and the 'no train ride' rule...I think we managed to have a good time. It's interesting how I have these certain expectations in my mind of how things will go and when they don't actually go as planned, it doesn't mean it's horrible- we just need to take a little detour. After all, we're dealing with children and that is never predictable!
