It reached 85 degrees yesterday, possibly hotter, but I was too hot to check, which is usually the temperature at which I crank the air and turn on the ceiling fans and hunker down inside. Summer not being my friend, obviously.
Rea had other plans. She talked me into pulling out her kiddie pool. We filled it to the brim and she loved it! Despite the cold cold cold hose water... fun times!
Her new favorite fruit of choice is the nectarine. We've had some tears lately because I cannot for the life of me find cuties (clementines) and oranges just won't do so when I first suggested nectarines at the store she wrinkled her nose and shrugged her shoulders. 3 nectarines later, I think it's safe to say she approves.
It just hit me that she's over the 3 and a half year mark, well on her way to magic number 4... time flies when you're having fun! She is full of one-liners and loves to turn everything into a song...whether it's brushing her teeth, taking a bath, eating a meal, it will eventually turn into a song including rhymes. Oh how she loves to rhyme right now. Very charming on her 3 and a half year old self.
Toddler quotes:
Rea: "Mommy, where does Jesus live?"
Me: "Jesus lives in Heaven."
Rea: "No He doesn't. He lives in the ground so he can pet our feet when we walk."
***************
Rea splashing water on my feet: "Mommy I'm doing this to get rid of your wrinkles. You have a lot of them."
***************
Her new tag line- 'Who cares anyway...'
Me: "Rea please put your dirty clothes in your hamper."
Rea: "Who cares anyway?"
Me: "Rea please don't pick your nose, go get a Kleenex."
Rea: "Who cares anyway?"
And so then I have to gently remind her the importance of being tidy and clean hygiene, and then she asks what is being tidy and what does hygiene mean and where does soap come from and can she suck the toothpaste right out of the tube and what happens if the ants in our kitchen can't find their way to their house (traps) and before you know it, it's turned into another version of an If You Give a Pig a Party book. "If you try to teach your toddler manners, she'll want a story to go with it." :)

Father's Day Weekend
Another successful weekend... but when are weekends not successful? Fun times with family and friends!
Friday night:
An impromptu visit to our neighbor's, the Millers. PJ's and play dough for the girls, game night for the adults.
Saturday:
The rain canceled our library plans with inflatables and face painting so we headed to Bass Pro, always a good time. They do such a great job of hosting activities for kids, all free of charge. Rea always has a blast there!
Play time in the garage- she couldn't decide which one to ride....
Saturday night Andy and I attended a wedding while peanut had a sleepover at G&G W.'s. I love a good love story and the wedding was such a great time!
Sunday:
Happy Father's Day!
We spent the day at Andy's brother's house with the W side of the family. So much good food and good conversation...blessed for the family times we share.
And blessed for all the dad's in my life- Scott, Steve and my amazing husband, Andy. Reagan has so many wonderful role models for how men should and do treat the women in their lives. Love you all!
Cousins being silly~
Rea is a daddy's girl for sure~
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! xo

Weekend Living- Toddler version
It was a busy weekend for Reagan.
Despite the unpredictable weather, she managed to have fun at Adventureland, attend 2 birthday parties, had some time for crafts and backyard swinging and discovered her new favorite movie, Monsters, Inc. So it's no surprise she was sound asleep by 7:30 p.m. tonight!
A few pics:
Friday- Her daycare provider spoiled the older kids and took them to Adventureland for fun times!
Saturday- Some days he's her brudder (brother) and some days he's her boyfwend (boyfriend). It all depends on her mood but one thing is for sure- she loves him! Happy 2nd birthday Keefer!
After the party the rain came in... and Reagan was devastated that she couldn't play outside. So we opened up the craft kit and dug in-
Making a card for daddy:
Some painting:
She loves the Kidstv123 videos on YouTube and her favorite right now is about the solar system:
Sunday-4th birthday party for her dear friend, Sage. Happy birthday Sage! The rain held off long enough for the kids to swim and Rea had a blast! The cookie cake was a hit too...
Sunday night: Doesn't every toddler sleep with a princess crown?
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Reagan's Road Trip
My mom came down for the weekend so Andy and I could attend a bachelor/bachelorette party on Saturday night. She took Rea back up north with her when she left- and I know she's having lots of fun with her cousins but I miss my peanut! I'm trying to prep myself and say, this is how it's going to feel when she's 18 and leaves for college.
But if it really feels this way, I either 1) won't let her go, or 2) will be the oldest person to live in a college dorm. No joke.
Waiting for Gramma:
She thought it was a good idea to feed her hot dog slicer...
Gramma's here!
Playing at Gramma's:
Can't wait to see my baby girl!
