We needed a fun activity to take our minds off the heavy things this week so we headed to the local pumpkin patch...I didn't know we lived so close to one (thanks Nette for discovering!) and bonus points: admission was free!
Rea loved the big tire swing and the corn kernel pit. We walked through the hay bale maze and checked out the animals in the barn area, to which Rea exclaimed, "Get me outta this stinky barn!" She's a city kid, what can I say?!
Thanks to Aunt Nette, Aunt Belli and Belli's friend Carly for a great time! Can't wait to go again next year.

Aunt Nette and peanut:
Bean bags!
Headin out in the field to pick out a pumpkin:
The goats were... uh, friendly.
We found the perfect one!
Dancing in the corn kernels:
Playing in the hay:
Tractor ride. That lasted all of one minute since Rea decided she didn't like bumpy rides.
And right as we were leaving, the sky opened up and the windmill began to turn... and it reminded me of my grandparents farm growing up. I knew our guardian angel was with us.

r - sounds like you were able to have some fun in the midst of heaviness. your grandma was so cute. i've liked looking at your photos and memories of her, especially that she lovingly said you were a pill : ). i'm thinking of you.
Thanks Karin! That means a lot. :)
