Even though according to stores, houses on our block with Christmas lights already displayed, and Santas visiting the day after we said goodbye to Halloween, I am a firm believer in: Respect the turkey!
Thanksgiving is the one day set aside to relax with family and friends and thank our blessings. I for one, am so very thankful this year. There may be trials and tribulations ahead, but I am so thankful for the blessings I have right now.
I hope everyone had a joyous Thanksgiving holiday and here's to a wonderful rest of the year!

Peanut update
Reagan finally had her 1 year check-up last week and passed with flying colors! We love getting good news from the Dr. and peanut had a great visit.
She weighed in at 22 lbs. 4 and 1/2 oz. which equates to 60th percentile for weight. She is 30 and 1/2 inches long, which is the 80th percentile for height and I don't remember the exact measurement except 'big' for her head, which was 90th percentile.
She got 4 shots which she hated but recovered fairly well from. Andy has taught her to say 'thank you' after we give her something, albeit a toy or food, and so she promptly said 'thank you' to me as I was feeding her puffs in the exam room. The Dr. loved that one.
She is on track with all of her milestones so we are getting ready to turn her car seat around and we keep working on the walking thing. So far, her knees are holding up. If she has to have knee replacement surgery in her 20's, don't blame me! :)
We had a great weekend visiting G&G K. and the Knight clan this past weekend for Thanksgiving. Peanut loves her cousin time!
Here are a few pics~ enjoy!
"Move outta the way penguin. There's a remote to be had!"

Who took my baby?!
And replaced her with a TODDLER?! *insert hysterical sob here*
Lil Miss Independent is getting so big! We call her the 'knee walker' since her favorite mode of transportation is walking on her knees. It's her safety net. No more toppling over for her. She'll be 16, in high school, and still walking on her knees. Okay. Let's hope not.
Upon intense scrutiny (by her mama), her hands and feet look HUGE! Every day they grow bigger and can grasp more things...like the baby monitor that she is. still. obsessed. with. She knows it's off limits but when she wants our attention- it's the first place she heads to.
She is loving her 'big people' food too- and it's great because it forces me to cook every night. Which helps the budget and the belly! We took away her lunch time bottle and replaced it with a sippy. Still loves whole milk- that transition couldn't have gone smoother.
Here are some 'toddler' pics of the week, enjoy!
I think we have a piano player in the family. She loves to 'play' the keys on the bus~
