All Things Easter

On Saturday, our neighborhood hosted an annual Easter egg hunt and we were in town this year to participate. It was definitely chilly but we bundled up and had fun looking for eggs with our neighbors.  The egg hunt is put on by a few neighbors each year and the kids love it.

Reagan was so excited to find treasures and treats in the eggs. Afterwards they had different games set up for the kiddos and a coloring table. Such fun!

Meeting our neighborhood officer. Reagan even got an honorary cop sticker badge.

Afterwards we put the finishing touches (glitter eggs?? What was I thinking?) on our dyed Easter eggs...thanks to G&G W. for helping Rea dye the eggs this year during her overnight stay.

Sunday Funday:

Each year we visit the Easter bunny at Bass Pro with our friends.  Reagan was looking forward to it this year but still had a tinge of hesitation when it was time to actually sit by the bunny.  She forced a smile and quickly jumped down as soon as the picture was taken.

We are looking forward to hosting Easter this year... hope everyone had a great weekend!

Firsts~ Cousin Sleepover

Reagan and I traveled north this weekend so she could experience her first sleepover at her cousin's house. She was so excited and talked about it the entire week before we went.  She had a great time and loved being with her cousins...  A very successful sleepover that she is anxious to do again!

Thanks Uncle Ross, Aunt Heather and kiddos for having Reagan over!

My sister in law sent me this pic... reading right before bed. What a sweet picture!

Just hanging out...

On Saturday we took the kids to the park as the weather was perfect.

Enjoying DQ treats!

A wonderful time spent with family. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Spring Break Fun 2015

One wintery cold night when the snow was falling, I decided we needed to plan a little jaunt to start off our spring break this year, just to get out of town for the night and have some family fun when the temps were warmer.

We decided to head West with our friends, the Miller's.  We had never been to the Children's Museum or CoCo Keys Waterpark in Omaha so that's where we headed... despite the spring break crowds and the closed pools (due to a couple sick kiddos) we had a great time!

The Children's Museum:

Reagan loved this. Lots to see and do- the carousel, train ride and farm area were the big hits.  She also loved dancing with dino's and playing in the ball pit.

The girls were anxious to swim so we headed to the water park.  A tad disappointed to find out 2 pools were closed but we made the best of it. Reagan loved the slides and lazy river!

The girls were so excited to be able to wear their matching PJ's to the restaurant...

On Sunday we headed to the Omaha Zoo.  The train and sky lift were not working and there was construction but we managed to enjoy being outside and looking at all the animals!  The highlights were the aquarium, another carousel, the big Cats, and picking out 2 eggs (that really hatch mom!) as souvenirs.

Hard at work on the kids menu at Perkins...

Such fun family memories and a great time we had!

I had Monday off work so we enjoyed the warm temps by playing at a new park and having a snack favorite, Scratch!

Reagan was able to continue the fun this week by having Gramma K. here for a couple days and then spending time with Andy's parents. So thankful for our village.

Happy spring break 2015!
