Weekend Fun!

This was on my bucket list as Reagan hasn't been since she was a baby. She was a little taken aback by the crowds but a smoothie and sugar cookie helped ease the chaos.

Water parks...

...not just for kids!

We spent a fun-filled day (adults only version) at the water park last week. We rented a cabana and enjoyed some adult cocktails while lounging on the lazy river.  It was a great time and hopefully a new annual tradition!

Dance Camp 2015

I have to admit, I was really looking forward to a summer without dance. No running to the studio, no recitals... But when Reagan heard about dance camp, she begged and pleaded and I could tell she really wanted to go.

We talked to her about how to earn it: good manners, doing her chores, helping without being asked, being nice to her friends.  She literally squealed the first night- and couldn't stop talking about how much fun she had.  She knew a couple other girls in the class, so that made it even better.

They made parts of their costume and had fun doing a mini recital for the parents.  She kept thanking us for letting her go and that made it all worth it.

The Happy Run!

I participated in my first ever color run on Saturday.  I'm really not the running type but with a great group of girlfriends, fun costumes and yeah, lots of coffee- I was ready to go!

We woke up to pouring rain and thunder but by the time we were ready to run, the sun had come out! The Color Run is billed as the happiest 5k around and it really was a happy time! Lots of good music, a great run path through the outskirts of downtown and of course, getting doused with color!

What a great day spent with my girls!

Wordless Wednesday~ Lil Chef

Happy 4th of July!

We started off our holiday weekend with a play date with friends at Adventure Bay. We arrived early to beat the crowds and it was nice to have the water spot to ourselves for a couple hours.  Reagan's new favorite is the wave pool.

Later that night we enjoyed a grill out with some friends and then headed to fireworks. They were amazing this year! 

After the first round, Reagan shouted, "Don't leave me hangin!"  

She loved the fireworks this year and wasn't scared by the noise at all.

Reminder for me for next year- glow bracelets are a hit!  And helps you keep track of kids in the dark.

We've started an impromptu tradition for the actual 4th- grilling out with our neighbors. It's nice to hang at home and not have to worry about traffic or crowds. The kids had fun swimming, playing outside and of course, loved the sparklers!

We were able to see 5 sets of fireworks at one time from our driveway... success!
