Festival of trees!
Reagan did the craft tables this year and had lots of fun making Christmas ornaments, a snowman made out of marshmallow, a reindeer made out of candy canes and spinning the wheel for a prize! The money raised goes to a great cause but so sad to see the trees in honor of those Littles fighting sickness.
We said a few prayers for those we know fighting cancer fights and thanked God for our health this holiday season.
Disney on Ice!
Our annual tradition... Rea got tickets for her birthday from her Uncle S and Aunt B. She was so excited to go! This year they did the Frozen theme and it did not disappoint. Rea was mesmerized!
Time for Christmas trees!
We put up our tree in the front living room and Reagan put up her tree in her bedroom. It's definitely starting to feel like Christmas! Now we just need a quaint dusting of the white stuff and we'll be set!
Elfie came!
Rea's elf visited from the North Pole and brought her a hand made ornament... along with a note to remind her to help others during this holiday season, to be kind and listen to her mom and dad. And the big news- she is currently on Santa's NICE list!
We are in full-on holiday mode! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Joys and tribulations, rants and rambles, insights and embarrassing moments...Taking in all of life and what it has to offer!

Thanksgiving Part 2
Happy turkey day!
We stayed in town this year and celebrated with Andy's family. My parents came for the day and we had lots of fun doing what we do best- eating great food and enjoying ourselves with laughs and good times.
So thankful for this family that I can call my own- for this village that supports us day in and day out. It's so good for the soul to be with family!
From our family to yours, happy thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Part 1
We headed north this weekend to celebrate our first Thanksgiving of the season. We also had family pictures with the entire family and all lived to tell about it. Ha! Despite the cool drop in temps and lots of wind, we had a great time being with family.

Sunshine and Santa Claus!
A warm 70 degrees and a visit to Santa!
I like to respect the turkey and hold all Christmas events until after Thanksgiving but...we were at the mall and with no lines, couldn't resist. She asked for snowflake earrings and had a cute lil chat with Mr. Claus.
She's ready for the swimming pool to come back...

2016 trip to Center Grove
On a chilly fall day, when school let out early, we headed to Center Grove Orchard for our annual expedition. New this year, the train! It was fun and Rea loved it. We had a great time with friends and finished off our trip with our favorite, apple slushies!

November is in full swing!
It doesn't seem right that Thanksgiving is only 2 and 1/2 weeks away... this fall is flying by!
We enjoyed movie time with our friends, Adrian and Jules this week- If everyone saw Trolls, the world may be a happier place. The message of finding internal happiness and sharing love is a testament we all need right now. Not to mention the singing and dancing was contagious!
Prepping for First grade school pics!
Giving back-
November is time for giving thanks and being grateful for our blessings. What a great way to teach Rea the importance of giving back than by helping at Meals from the Heartland. We volunteered with her Girl Scout troop. This was such a wonderful experience and I can't wait to do it again!
