Memorial Day Weekend Fun!

Birthday parties galore!
Rea had so much fun painting and skating and swimming her way through 3 of her good friends' parties this weekend.

Happy birthday Rae!

Fun on skates!
Happy birthday Zoe!

Aloha!
Happy birthday Vivian!

Rea's kiddo fort!
And because her daddy and Grandpa's love her so much, they worked tirelessly in the horrendous heat to transform her sand box ceiling into a cool hangout for Rea and her friends!  We loved how it turned out and she couldn't wait to use it!

Enjoying gma time!!!

Pool time!
The pool is officially open!

Friend grill out party!
Hosting our old neighbors for lots of swimming, grilling and laughs!  We picked up right where we left off... lifelong friends makes a person feel so lucky.  We are thankful for sure!

And with that, our fun weekend was over and it was back to the grind.  Feeling sun kissed, family blessed and thankful for great friends... happy Memorial day weekend!

Firsts

Bee sting-

One minute at the park to play and Rea was wailing- first bee sting!  Poor girl- I still remember my first bee sting when I was younger.  It swelled a bit so we did Benadryl and soaked in Epsom salts.

2nd grade field trip!

Thankfully no bees and her  foot had healed by morning. We headed out with her 2nd grade class to explore a local park- looking at habitats, pond life-- forests-- prairies.  I think I learned just as much as the kiddos!

These are special days for me and I was thankful I could attend.  Afterwards, she asked- Mommy, can you come to every field trip I have?  Yes honey, I can.

I still hope she wants me on her field trips when she's 16.

May Magic

Reagan's last dance competition of the season-

We did the parent talk of how it's not about the end result, just important that she has fun and does her best. We are proud of her, medals or no medals.

Well the girls did a great job at their last performance! Not that I'm surprised- they've been working very hard at practice.

2nd highest rating with Ruby score, 1st overall and a special award for the Outstanding Entertainment winner.  Rea was chosen beforehand to be the one to accept the awards on behalf of the studio so she was extra pumped to get her pic taken while on stage.

The production performance with 104 dancers won the highest rating of Diamond, and 1st overall- it was a great weekend to wrap up the competition season.

My lil Snow White-

Dance teacher extraordinaire- seriously. Just the best ever. Pretty sure Rea would adopt her into our family if that was allowed. For adults to be adopted.

Thankful for these dance mom's that walked me through the process this year...

Rea has made some great lasting friendships with these girls...

My lil bunny!

PBDS group shot-

Found this message on our garage white board, written by a lil peanut... melted my heart...

And with that, we look forward to recital time!
