VBS 2018

This is one of Reagan's favorite weeks during summer- Vacation Bible School!

This year she said was one of her favorites!  Shipwrecked VBS was the theme- lots of fun with games, bible adventures, imagination station and singing songs!

The coolest part was watching the kids reach their goal for kid to kid operation!  Over $2,000 raised in 5 days to feed hungry children in Haiti.  What an accomplishment!

Summer Art Camp 2018

Reagan had fun at art camp this year- drawing and painting were the styles she chose. Some days I thought more paint got on her instead of the canvas, but I guess that's part of fun when you're a kiddo. A fun summer camp that's affordable... can't beat that!

Under the sea, flower expression and a self portrait!

Father's Day Weekend

Friday night Reagan and I met her friends for dinner and then to watch a children's theater production of Peter Pan. It was our first time watching a play at the local theater.

We really enjoyed it and loved cheering on Rea's friends!

Saturday was the annual donut run & pool dip and this time, Andy and Rea ran while I walked and chatted with my friend Jen.  It was hot but we had fun despite the heat.  And Rea loved eating a donut and then swimming!

We then celebrated Father's Day with Andy's family- ate lots of good food... a great time celebrating the wonderful dads in our life!  Happy father's day Steve, Andy and Scotty!

Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend!

Brownies- 1st year

Reagan completed her first year of Brownies and celebrated with an end of the year party where the girls got to learn sign language.  Rea loved it and has been practicing her signing ever since.  Huge thanks to her leaders for planning all the service projects and activities all year long.

Rea's troop applied for and won a grant to build and stock a free food pantry in our area.  The girls also donated cookies and cookie $ to the local kids summer program for under privileged kiddos.  They definitely learned the lesson of giving back and helping others in need. I love the scouts program and Rea is excited for next year!

Showing off a few badges she earned!

Recital 2018~ Imagination!

After two full days of dance rehearsals and 4 recitals... we are in rest mode!

It was a whirlwind four days of all things dance and Rea wouldn't have it any other way.  Her past year of practice and sore feet, and competitions...finally paid off and she got to do what she loves best- perform on stage!  Rea has made so many new friendships this year- I love everything that dance has done for her. She found a dance family that promotes a positive body image, having self confidence and uplifting others.

Our lil dancer shined on stage and we loved cheering her on!  Thank you to G&G W, G&G K, and her Uncle Scotty, Aunt B and cousin Evie for being there to cheer her on.  She loved having an audience of family.

We can't wait to see what next year brings!

We had to celebrate with ice cream!

Thanks for the memories PBDS!

Summer Vibes

Our first trip of the season to Adventure Bay- I was sure we were going to get rained out but just the opposite- the sun came out and we had a fun day with friends.

Dance rehearsal time!

To kick off summer, we hit up two of Rea's happy places- the Juice Company and Krispy Kreme!

We also made our first trip to Half Price Books- what a neat store!  Rea earned $13 selling her used books which she promptly turned around and spent on new chapter books. Love this place!!

She read her new books to me on the drive back home- summer reading has started!

Happy June!
