The Evolution of the Saturday Morning

As a child~ Saturday mornings were the best!  Cartoons, toaster strudel, antagonizing my brother...not a care in the world.

As a teenager~ I hated Saturday mornings!  I had to report for duty at the golden arches every Saturday morning at 5:00 a.m. to open. I'm pretty sure my mom hated Saturday mornings too as she had to drive me before I got my license... and double whammy during the winter months.

As a college student~ What...there were still Saturday mornings? I thought every day started at 1 p.m.?

As a newlywed~ see 'As a college student.'

As a mom~ Saturday mornings are what I LIVE for... snuggled in with peanut.  Me with coffee, her with a sippy of milk, watching Dora/Bubble Guppies/Team UmiZoomi... and chatting about how to spend our day.  Pure bliss.

Thankful Thursday

As the norovirus hit our household for the second time this year.... I'm thankful for the small blessings in life.

Pepto and tums and squirt *shaken not stirred* martini
Dora marathons on the DVR
Lysol spray
and a loving daycare provider that took Rea to her last tumble tots class so she wouldn't miss out!

Ever wonder what a toddler looks like all hopped up on fruit snacks and apple juice when her parent's are too sick to care that she isn't eating fruits and veggies with every meal?!  See below:

Thankful we are all on the mend this Thursday... now excuse me while I go hide the fruit snacks.

"Be Mines"

No, the title isn't a typo... Rea has been adding an 's' to the word 'mine' lately...

"It's mines"
"Mines treat"
"Mines turn"

When I asked her to 'Be My Valentine' she responded, 'Be mines'....

Loved opening her 'Bayentine's'~

All fun times must come to a...

Screeching halt!

My birthday weekend started out innocently enough.  Dinner with hubby and great friends... fun drinks, tasty food and hilarious conversation!

We spent the following day at a birthday party for Reagan's dear friend, much to her amazement at hitting the pinata!

We spent that night celebrating with family~ Reagan loved playing with her cousins!

And then *BAM* On Sunday morning, Reagan woke up with a 103.4 fever and spent the week battling what the Dr.'s (think) was strep and bronchitis.  Thanks to Reagan's gramma's for helping us nurse her back to health! xo
