Lately...

Mother Nature teased us with a hint of spring so we made a mad dash to our favorite park. Still a tad cool but enough time for slides and squeals!

On Friday we headed north to visit family.  Lots of fun times!

Making play dough with cousins!

Baby Rose!

Grandpa K. can make anything! A plane out of a box...

Andy and I enjoyed a fun date night Saturday night with our besties.  We decided to head to Ames as I hadn't been since college.  So much good food! Lots of laughs and memories made. Always a good time!

Playing with pics

One of my friends told me about a new app she discovered, InstaCollage. It's probably been around for awhile but very new to someone like me, who is slightly very tech challenged. I downloaded the app this weekend and had fun experimenting. Glad I had a happy and willing subject!

Trying out our new kitchen gadget- strawberry corer

Playing in the garage when it was just too cold to be outside:

"Okay mom we need to use our imaginations and build an obstacle course with my Lego's. Winner gets a treat."  Well played toddler, well played.

The app is free and very easy to use... even for someone like me who just learned how to use a strawberry corer.  :)

"Play" Date

When I heard about 'Friday Funday' at the local playhouse, I thought it would be a great experience for Reagan. However, since I had to work I enlisted the help of Aunt Nette to take her.  They enjoyed a fun breakfast at Drake Diner and then off to the play- Caps for Sale! Short but sweet and Rea loved it!

Was I surprised when Rea came home with a bag of treats as well? Nope!  Thanks Nette for taking Reagan for the morning!

Fun memories made and she is still telling us stories of her play date with Aunt Nette!

Party time!

Sunday Funday:

Reagan loves herself a good party... wants to be the first to arrive and the last to leave.  She got to celebrate with her good friend, Ellie today. I love that all these girls will get to grow up together. Happy birthday Ellie girl!

Let's Cook!

We had such a fun Saturday planned hosting our out-of-town girlfriends for a girl's lunch however, Mother Nature just had to intervene.  I knew Reagan would be upset that she wouldn't be able to spend the day playing with Jules so when I found out about a cooking class for toddlers I jumped at the chance to sign her up.

This may be the best kept lil secret because I didn't even see it posted online but Williams-Sonoma offers a free Junior Chef cooking class Saturday mornings- they limit the class size, which is nice, and most of the other kiddos were around Rea's age. The other perk is that parents get 10% off all purchases that day. They also happened to be testing out a new coffee maker so this mama enjoyed LOTS of coffee. In fact, I'm still jittery.

I also surprised Rea with a breakfast outing, a rare treat that she LOVES, and we burned some calories at play land. The perfect Saturday spent with my toddler when other fun plans fall through.

So excited to cook!

Pouring...

Mixing...

Sifting...

Finished product:

Adding whipped topping...

And since we were so close, we had to make a stop at our favorite cupcake shop- Scratch!!

Happy Saturday!
