Okoboji 2014

There is nothing better than a long awaited family vacation.... especially when you throw in lake views and perfect temperatures.  We had an amazing week in Okoboji this year.  The weather was sunny and high 70's/low 80's. Perfect for outside exploring, swimming and deck lounging.  We had one rainy day that was great for shopping, movie watching and dinner at the condo.

I love everything about lake life- wearing lounge wear all day and all night, family game nights where I didn't think I had a competitive drive in me but is mysteriously brought out by intense games of Mexican Train and LRC. And the view!  The view of the lake is truly breathtaking no matter, morning, or night, sunny or rainy.

Thanks to G&G W. (at the lake) and G&G K. (at their house) for helping out with Reagan this week. She loves the lake life like her mommy and daddy but also loved spending time visiting her cousins and hanging out up north.

I'm already counting the days until next year....

Thankful Thursday

On this Thursday, we are so thankful for the great follow-up ENT visit that Reagan had.... throat is healed and she passed her hearing test!  Grateful and blessed that she is slowly recovering and building up her stamina again. 

We just HAD to celebrate at our 'home away from home'....Orange Leaf!
