Beggar's Night 2015

The weather turned out perfect for our Beggar's night this year and Rea had rehearsed her joke- she was ready to earn candy!

"Why did the skeleton not want to cross the road?"

"Because he didn't want to break his bones!"

Annual cousin pic:

Ready to go!

I love that our neighborhood patrol hands out candy and laughs at every joke!

Very excited to show off her newly acquired spider ring:

After about an hour of going door to door, Rea was ready to hand out candy.  We estimated going through 700 pieces of candy in about 50 min.  That is a new record for us!

Happy Halloween 2015!

Trick or Treat!

Local businesses hosted trick or treat night tonight and we took Rea out after dance.

She loved wearing her costume to dance and was excited to see her dance teacher was also a butterfly!

Friends!

Very excited about her 'spider' balloon...

Rea: "Mommy, spiders are more afraid of you than you are of them."

Me: *insert nervous laugh*

Happy Halloween!

Six years ago today...

Dearest Reagan:

Six years ago today, you made your daddy and I the happiest parents when you came into this world. Over these past six years, we have watched you grow, and learn and fall and get back up again... We have watched you when you were sick and when you were healthy...when you were sad and when you were happy!

Every day we thank God for our special peanut, for being in our lives to bring us joy and laughs! You love to tell jokes and tickle us!  You love to be with your friends and your cousins.  Everyone says you act just like daddy but look just like mommy... and we agree!

We are so proud of you!  For doing well in school, for learning God's love in church, for working hard at dance, for learning new things in Girl Scouts... You make us proud and happy every day.

You love to play math and letter games on your Ipad. You love to help with chores around the house. You love to play with your shopkins and Littlest Pet shops and Barbies and play doh. You have such a fun imagination and we love hearing your play time stories.

You will always have our hearts baby girl... we love you always and forever.

Your biggest fan,

Mama

Celebrating Six!

Another year gone by and our baby is turning six!  Cannot believe how fast it comes and goes...

Celebrating with Friends:

We had Rea's friend party at Pump it Up this year. I can't say enough great things about our experience- the staff was attentive and interacted so well with the girls.  Everyone had fun jumping, eating pizza/cupcakes and Rea loved opening presents.

A dear family friend made capes for the party favors and we found masks at Party City.  The girls loved being Super heros!

Decorations were from Birthday Express, balloons were from Bertha Butt's Balloonery and Baubles and the cupcakes were from HyVee.  Everything went according to plan and we loved seeing Rea have fun with her girlfriends!

Happy #6 Rea!

Celebrating with family:

We hosted Rea's family party at our house Sat. afternoon...

Annual birthday tradition- Gramma K. makes the birthday cake. Supergirl this year and it not only looked so cute but tasted delicious!

Thankful once again for wonderful family and friends to celebrate with us!  What a great day and we are feeling blessed. Happy 6th birthday baby girl! We love you!
