Weekly Update

Andy was on single-parent duty this week as I traveled across the country for a business trip. It's always so hard to leave my babies but thankfully the week flew by and I was home just in time to pick up Reagan from school. And to see the first snowflakes of the season...brrr!

Reagan had fun making a turkey at daycare.  She was very proud of doing the craft, 'all by myself without any help!'

I was able to catch up with my Aunt and Uncle whom I haven't seen in years (since they live clear across the country, which just happened to be where I traveled to!).  It was great to see them and we had a nice visit.

Her first award- Reagan won a red ribbon during Red Ribbon Week at school for her drawing of how she could help in the classroom.  She thought of the idea and drew the picture all by herself.  I love how school has given her the confidence she needed for projects like this- crafts, coloring, using scissors. We are so proud of her!

Reagan also received her monthly shipment of 'Lil Passports.'  This month was Egypt. We found it on the map and read the story of the great pyramids.  The activity this month was a pyramid dig so she had lots of fun chipping away for the treasure.  And by chipping away I mean dropping it on the garage floor to get it to break. Wow that sucker was tough!

Her prize, a little gold mummy. "Mommy, is it REAL gold??"

And finally....in anticipation of the snowstorm that is on its way... we are making cookies and hunkering down where it's warm. I see cozy blankets with the fireplace on and hot chocolate in our future.

Hope everyone had a great week!
