Last day of First grade...Hello summer vacation!

Cue the tears... my baby completed first grade!

She said, 'Mom we had a school assembly today and I cried. I'm going to miss seeing everyone over summer break.'  Broke my heart... so we celebrated and I did the best thing I knew what to do- eat donuts!

We enjoyed a delicious stop at Krispy Kreme, and had a fun crafting afternoon at Glazed Expressions, a trip to Michael's and Target for craft supplies while she's recovering from surgery, dinner at McD's and to finish off the night, her last hip hop class until her recital.

Her fearless leader, the principal...

Her favorite dinner choice...

Earned a pin from dance!

Here's to a successful tube surgery with a quick recovery, and the onset of summer fun!!

Memorial Day Weekend

Saturday:

Reagan's first time at a new trampoline place with her friend Zoe- she loved it! Definitely on our summer bucket list for a rainy day.

Sunday:

Fun in the sun! Slip n slide, Popsicles and chalk paint made for a great day!

Monday:

Our first trip of the season to Adventure Bay!  The sun was out and it was nice going when it wasn't packed.  I wanted to be sure Rea got in some water play time before her tube surgery this week.

Let's ride! So close to taking off the training wheels...

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! Land of the free, because of the brave!

End of the year- First Grade

I can't believe we are almost at the end of another school year... completing first grade!

Grades are rolling in, no homework is coming home and Rea is having fun with end of the year activities!

Camp out in her classroom- Camp "Iwannaread"  Definitely the highlight of Rea's school year- she is well on her way to harder chapter books and much to her regret, ones that don't have pictures.

She has excelled at math and science this year- learned how to create, research and write a book with index and table of contents, and had such a fun time in art, music and PE.  We are so thankful for the staff at her elementary school and all that she has learned this year.  She even earned a  STAR award this week and got to each lunch with the staff. Always a fun treat!

Field day 2017!

Violin lessons are going strong...she'll continue those through the summer and has already come a long way in knowing how to read music and the notes...

And hopefully we have scheduled her very last tube surgery!  One tube grew in wrong and never fell out- so her ENT will remove the tube and patch the hole. We are praying she won't need a new set of tubes this time around.

A special treat after her pre-surgery check up...

Happy almost end of the school year!

Celebrating #10!

Andy and I headed to D.C. last week as he had a work trip and I tagged along to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. I've always wanted to go and the trip did not disappoint!

Despite the 90+ degree temps, we had a wonderful time seeing the sights, enjoying great food and exploring around the area.
