9 Weeks and growing...
9 weeks?! Each week that goes by doesn't seem possible. Before I know it she'll be shooing her dad and I out of her dorm room at the U of Iowa (okay...if she doesn't want to be a Hawkeye we'll still love her!) :).
So yesterday was a big day for Lil Peanut...her 2 month check-up which included the 'S' word...no, not that one. SHOTS! Andy came along for moral support and it was hard on both of us. The good news: she only screamed for a minute and was out cold by the time we left. She was a champ!
The Dr. said she looked 'wonderful!' She weighed in at 13 pounds, 3 ounces and 23 inches in length. 97th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height- no shocker there, just look at her parents! She is still keeping us so thankful by sleeping 8 hours a night and we have talked to Pastor Lee and set her baptism date for the end of February- can't wait!
Here are some pics from the week~

Christmas Day 2009
Due to the gloom and doom weather forecast last week, Andy and I decided to hunker down with Steve and Alyce for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I'm so glad we did because the weather outside was frightful!
And we had a blast- Alyce taught us a new card game that was so much fun, we enjoyed a nice warm fire, lots of goodies to eat and family time!
The best part: Santa came to visit!

8 Weeks and growing...
Can you believe I have a 2 month old child?! Shouldn't I be in my pre-baby jeans by now? (Insert hysterical laugh here).
I can definitely tell Lil P isn't a newborn anymore~ She's on to size 2 diapers and fits in 3-6 months clothes. Her cry is different too- more mature sounding. And her hands and feet have grown (takes after her mommy!). She is definitely more alert and loves to laugh and coo, especially when she has a full belly.
According to the baby books, she's right on schedule for development. Her next milestone will be rolling over- she's already done it a couple times but I'm thinking those were flukes. Plus the event terrified her so it might be awhile before she attempts it again. We'll have to wait and see...

Christmas Tradition
Last night Andy and I took Lil P through the Jolly Holiday Lights display!
We had gone a few years ago but I had forgotten how fun it is. I can't wait to make this our annual family tradition and to see Reagan's reaction to the lights when she gets older. The best part is that 1000% of the proceeds go to the Make-a-Wish Foundation- excellent!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Travels
This past weekend we packed up the car and headed up North to celebrate Christmas!
Fortunately the weather held off and Lil P slept the whole way- relief! Great Grandma Wedeking got to meet her great granddaughter and Reagan's cousins got to see her for the first time too! We had a great time as always and I think I ate my weight in Christmas goodies. Success! :)
She loved laughing and cooing with Gramma!

Christmas Blessings...
This is the time of year when I like to take a minute to reflect on all the blessings in my life... and my amazing girlfriends top the list!
Last Friday night Andy took over baby duty and I got to hang with my girls. We headed to Trostel's Dish where we enjoyed our signature key lime martini's and gorged on delicious food! We also spoiled each other with our gift exchange this year and then closed down Kohl's and Gordman's, which is our regular routine.
A wonderful time with my girls that is so good for my soul! xo

7 Weeks and growing...
Today Lil P is 7 weeks and growing!
As long as she has a full belly, she'll sleep 7-8 hours a night, much to our delight! She has also discovered her hands and that she can reach out and actually touch objects- hence a close call with the wipes container and a bottle of baby powder. She loves her bumbo chair and playing dress-up (okay okay, that's more me than her).
Here are a few pics from the past week:
