22 Weeks and growing...

Today, peanut is 22 weeks and growing!

This week brings... holding her bottle all by herself, loves playing peek-a-boo, and is very vocal~ cooing and talking! She definitely loves anything and everything that has to do with music. She must get this trait from Andy as I am tone-deaf and dogs howl when I sing in the shower.

She got an early Easter basket from Gramma K. with a bunny that plays music and it's her new favorite 'item of the week.' But look out- when the music stops, Reagan will look at you with those big blue eyes as if saying, 'um...let's get this music started!' :)

This week we are going to try green beans and see if she likes those better than the squash. She is still not overly excited about her cereal so mama has to get creative! Here are a few pics from the week:

Until next week! xo

21 Weeks and growing...

Today Reagan is 21 weeks and growing!

This week brings....reaching and veggies. NOT to be confused with reaching for veggies. Um, that would be a negative. You see, veggies do not equate to a bottle and therefore my child has no interest. It'll come, I know- for now we try a few spoonfuls a night and spend an hour in the bath tub rinsing squash from behind the ears. :)

She loves to reach out for her favorite toy, daddy's IPhone, and I could swear she was reaching out for me yesterday. Coulda been a fluke but I'll take it. She finished up her round of antibiotics and is back to sleeping through the night. Can I get an AMEN?!

I can't believe she'll be 5 months old on Saturday! Here are some pics from the week:

Happily playing with toys, oblivious of the spoonful of veggies coming her way...
"Uh oh, mom took the dice away..."

"I'll try anything once..."

"Okay, anyone know where my bottle is hiding?!"

Loves Daddy's new app- barnyard animal noises!

Until next week! xo

Road Trip

It's that time of year... March Madness, Andy's annual poker night with the guys, and an excuse for peanut and I to hit the road to go visit G&G Kollenkark!

We loaded the car with burp cloths and bibs galore and set out through the crazy ice/snow storm on Friday. Luckily the roads were fine and we had a great weekend!

Reagan got to play with her cousins, be enamored by Precious (the family pooch), got to visit Great-Grandma and get lots of lovin from G&G K!

Visiting Great-Grandma:

Chillin w/ Grampa:

All tuckered out:

Hope everyone had a great weekend! xo

The future's so bright...

We gotta wear shades!

Reagan loves sportin her new shades! This will last all of one minute until she promptly realizes she can fit them into her mouth and that they make a great teething tool.

I don't have Brooke Shield's bank account-

But I sure do want her eye lashes!

Have you seen her in those Latisse commercials offering dramatically gorgeous eyelashes for the mere price of thousands of dollars? Okay, I'm sure it's not thousands, but even at hundreds, I can't afford it!

So I did some research and discovered that L'Oreal actually came out with a boosting lash serum. I decided to give it a try. Not sure if it's placebo affect or not but after 3 weeks, I am noticing a difference in my lashes. Without breaking the bank.

Spring Feva!

Someone's ready for sunshine...rolling in the grass with no socks on... stroller rides around the neighborhood... swimming in the pool...

20 Weeks and growing...

Today peanut is 20 weeks and growing!

This week brings...rolling over!

Last night, as she busied herself on her blanket with toys scattered around, she decided it was time to be a big girl- and promptly rolled over! She was so excited and acted very proud of herself. Until she realized she was on her belly, which evidently, isn't where she wanted to be. So now that she's constantly rolling from back to belly, we need to work on rolling from belly to back!

Here's a video clip:

Until next week! xo

How many?

Remember that old commercial for Tootsie roll pops?

How many licks does it take to get to the middle of a tootsie roll pop?

Well I have a new updated version: How many times can you wash a pair of jeans before the baby poo stains come out?!

So far, 3 washes. And what used to be my 'fat' jeans are now my 'oh-my-where-are-my-spanx' jeans... compliments of 3 washes. But hey- at least the baby poo stain is out!

Adventures in cereal: Part 3

'Nuff said.

Adventures in cereal: Part 2

"Hmmm, that doesn't look like my bottle."

"Torture. Pure torture."

"I'd rather eat my thumb, thanks."

19 Weeks and growing...

Today, Lil P is 19 weeks and growing...

This week brings TEETHING. Drool by the bucket load, fingers pulling at the gums, big tears of hurt, restlessness, etc. etc. What happened to my happy-go-lucky, sleep-through-the-night baby girl? Okay I'll admit. The weekend was bad. This week has been better- Tylenol and teething tablets are saving her (and our!) sanity. I know this too shall pass but when she looks at me with those big blue eyes, piling over with tears and is in pain, it's hard for my heart not to hurt.

Another milestone this week: cereal! We got out the spoon and Hello Kitty bowl and I whipped up a batch of rice cereal, fully expecting her to chow down. That didn't exactly happen. She managed to get down about 6 spoonfuls and had had enough. The same on day 2, only this time I tried oatmeal. Tonight we'll see how it goes- I'm not going to force it by any means.

I scheduled her 6 month photo shoot for the end of April so it's time to plan those outfits! Good thing she's still at that age where she doesn't fight me on the tutu's. :)

Here are some pics from the week:

Souvenir from Daddy's trip last week, 'Lil Fan Baby Herkie'~

Reading with Gramma W~

"Look my feet can touch!"

"Okay, this doesn't look so bad..."

"Well maybe..."

"There I swallowed it. Now where's my bottle?!"

"If it'll fit in my mouth, it's going in my mouth."

Until next week! xo

I'd take normal any day...

"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow."

- Mary Jean Iron

I love a good old fashioned normal day... where Andy isn't traveling for work, peanut isn't teething and crying big tears of pain, where we aren't getting a record-breaking snow storm, where my badge works every morning because I have a job. I'm rejoicing in this normal day...

18 Weeks and growing...

On Tuesday, peanut turned 18 weeks...and growing she is! She had her 4 month Dr. appt. and weighed in at 16 lbs 1 oz. She actually dropped to the 90th percentile for weight. Her height was 24 and 3/4 in. putting her in the 90th percentile for height as well.

This week brings... a bad cold, fussiness after getting her shots, and swimming! We donned our suits and headed to the pool at the gym. She was a little skeptical at first but once she got situated in her floaty device she was loving it! And wasn't quite ready to leave when we were. I'm glad we have a little fishy in the family and look forward to Saturdays in the pool!

She is also getting really good at grabbing anything she can reach- especially my hair! Hmm...time for a 'mom' cut?! She is finally on the mend today and back to sleeping through the night. Hooray!

Here are some pics from the week:

"What is the fastest way I can get that in my mouth?"

"The only age I'll let mom post swim suit pics of me on the web."

Until next week! xo
