Viva Las Vegas!

Last weekend, Annette and I had a bachelorette party for a friend to attend...and it just so happens, the party was in Vegas! I talked Andy into going along for the ride and we had THE best time! The food was amazing, the sights were brilliant and the company was so very good for my soul. Memories were made and experiences will be remembered!

Here are a few pics (ahem...if I had loaded anymore I would have crashed Blogger)...enjoy!

At the airport, ready to fly to Vegas... somehow the waitress guessed where we were headed?! :)

View from the plane~

Checked into our hotel, New York New York and just met Vinny "the man" who, evidently was to make sure our stay was enjoyable. And it was!

It ain't a Vegas trip without a stop at the famous:

Andy's highlight of the trip: a monkey in a wheel chair. Yes. You read that right.

MY highlight of the trip: gospel brunch at House of Blues! Who knew you could go to Vegas and still go to church?! Amazing food, amazing performers, amazing sermon.

And their version of Amazing Grace brought goosebumps.

47 Weeks and growing...

Today, Reagan is 47 weeks and growing!

This week brought...fun times with G&G K. and G&G W. while Andy and I enjoyed a quick weekend trip to Vegas! According to Gramma reports, peanut didn't even know we were gone she was having so much fun! She got in some cousin time, Daisy time, and even said a new word, "peek-a-boo!"

Her food preferences remain the same- anything and everything we can give her! She is starting to want an earlier bedtime and is ready for bath and bottle by 7:00 p.m. We are still so lucky as she sleeps all night through and wakes up all smiles at 7:45 a.m.

Thanks to all the grandparents for watching baby girl for us while we were out of town!

Here a just a few pics I took before we headed out...enjoy!

All smiles with mama~
Cute baby butt in skinny jeans~
"Hmmm....if I act like I'm playing with my ball, I can secretly grab the remote."

Mesmerized every time the 'sports guys' commercial for Channel 13 comes on... I think playing a musical instrument is in her future.

We'll be on our family vacation next week so peanut's next update will be in 2 weeks! xo

46 Weeks and growing...

Today, Reagan is 46 weeks and growing!

This week brings... a trip up north to visit family, Water Babies swim class and... wait for it... I can't believe it...WALKING!

Albeit short-lived, Reagan did walk across our entire family room on Sunday with her walker. Then she promptly tilted, legs giving out and *gently* hit the side of the sofa cushion. Cue: no more walking. But she did make the attempt and we've been working on it a little bit every night. It's like she still has the memory of the tumble she took and won't let it go...

Reagan and I also enjoyed a fun trip up north staying with G&G K! Peanut got to visit her Great-Gramma and spend quality time with cousins. It was good times as usual- and I got to get in my 'fall' fix of Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies! Reagan wasn't the only one getting spoiled. :)

We also started Water Babies this week and even though the first class was a little rough, I think Peanut was just getting her feet wet (pun intended). We worked on blowing bubbles and kicking feet, sang songs and played with rubber duckies. How could you not have fun with that?!

Here are some pics from the week, enjoy!

Getting ready for a walk~

Kisses from Great-Gramma~

The best we could do after 10 re-takes~ by the way, anyone know where Grampa K's wallet went? Oh yeah, he has grandkids now. :)

Reagan loves her new fridge magnets!

"Now let's see...where should I put the pig's head and the cow's behind?"

Baby feet on the move!

What happens when baby girl wants to read all the books at once~

Prepping for Water Babies~

"You mean I really get to play in the water? YAY!"

We have been trying to teach Reagan how to self-feed. This is the story of the lone Cheerio.
"Okay mom, I've got it in my hand!"

"Now let's see...where does this go again?"

Abandoned on the carpet for a ball that caught her attention.

Until next week! xo

45 Weeks and growing...

Today Reagan is 45 weeks and growing!

This week brought a very fun-filled labor day weekend that included a trip to Incredible Pizza, grilling out with the neighbors and watching the Hawkeyes win!

Now that peanut has crawling down pat, we are starting to work on walking. She'll take steps while you are holding her hands but that's as far as we've gotten. She has gotten so quick at crawling that we really need to find a baby gate, stat!

She had cheerios in milk for the first time and loved it! She is also loving Yo Baby yogurt and cut up cheese. She has also gotten really good at the sippy cup in just the past 2 days. She understands how it works now and loves to drink from it at supper time.

She also had her follow-up tubes appt. with her ENT Dr. Everything looks great! She passed her hearing test and had custom ear plugs made so we can have fun at her Water Babies class next week!

Here are some pics from the week, enjoy!

Her first (noticeable) booboo:

New toy scored at Jacque's garage sale!

Ready for the Hawkeyes!

Heading out to Incredible Pizza:

Okay so obviously the TV in the background playing cartoons didn't help us when it was picture time:

Her first ride!

She loved it and wasn't scared at all:

Now the 'jumping apple' ride was a different story:

Group shot:

Let's go Hawks!

Looks close!

Touchdown!

Look I can stand! All by myself!

Quality time with G&G Wallace and Daisy!

Having a blast with the neighbors and their swing! We're on the lookout for an affordable swing set if everyone can keep their eyes open for us- thanks!

Until next week! xo
