Today peanut is 13 weeks and growing... another milestone started this week: the highchair! Andy and I always make it a point to eat together at the kitchen table every night, a family trait we want to instill in Reagan. It was getting harder to do without a place for her to sit with us so it was definitely time for a highchair.
This is also her 2nd week at daycare and it's going great! She loves her teachers and they love her, even if she doesn't nap during the day like all the other kids. Ha! She is the youngest in age but biggest in size- that's our healthy baby girl!
I have also noticed that she's grown out of her baby socks. Not a staple I've thought of to replace so that is on my to-do list this week. She is still the happiest baby on the block, especially when her belly's full and her diaper's dry!
Here are a few pics from the week:
Until next week! xo

My 2 favorite words...
Snow day!
Well in this case, ICE day! What a nice surprise to wake up and realize that my company was closed for the day. Just what I wanted~ some bonding time with Lil P! Since Reagan slept in til 8:00 I was able to catch a few more zzz's...and then we had a great day together!
Here are a couple pics of the ice on our windows:
Couldn't even see out our french doors:

Flowers make the world go round...
It's no secret, I love flowers. What girl doesn't?
So I was definitely cheered up today when I received not one but two sets of flowers on my first day back at work! Not only that but my desk was decorated so cute (Thanks Nettie!) with a 'Welcome Back' sign and a cute pic of Reagan on my computer. I was feelin the love!
So I survived my first day back and it actually wasn't too bad...but if you happened to be driving near Lil P's daycare this afternoon you would have seen a crazy woman sprinting inside. May or may not have been me... you'll never know. Okay, it was me.
Beautiful plant from 'Andy and Reagan'~ Very cool flowers, thanks Jodi!
Flowers make everything better!

12 Weeks and growing...
Today Reagan is 12 weeks and growing...Whew! What a roller coaster of a week!
Lil P started daycare and is adjusting quite well. Better than her parents! I, of course, expected her to be traumatized being away from me but (thankfully!) she is thriving. They keep her active all day long so she has been pretty tired these past two nights, which equals to 9 hours of sleep straight. We are blessed. Have I mentioned that before? :)
We've switched out her Playtex nipples too and she's now on 'Fast' leak. Like she needed anymore help with her eating habits- ha! She's discovered her hands and loves to try to reach out- not quite mastered the reach and grab yet but she's working on it.
Here are some pics from the week:
Almost catching up to her peeps!
Oops, note the outfit change. I didn't quite catch her spit up fast enough to save the outfit!
Until next week! xo

Happy Birthday Jen!
Saturday night I headed out to Blue Moon Piano Bar to help celebrate my good friend, Jen's birthday. It was the perfect distraction to help me stop thinking about next week and to just have fun with the girls and sing our hearts out to Journey. :)
Here are some pics of the night:
Group Shot~ Okay so we may have 'bribed' the piano players to get Jen up on stage...and it worked!

Cheatin' Heart
Okay sooooo technically it's not really cheating since I'm not on a 'diet' per se... It's a lifestyle change right? Everything in moderation?
So this afternoon was a little stressful, thinking about Lil P going back to daycare and what not. I suddenly remembered I had this little gem in the kitchen cupboard:
The good news: I made the Weight Watcher's version using only a can of Diet Coke.
The bad news: I ate too many spoonfuls of batter to count.
The good news: I only ate a small piece of cake once it was done baking.
The bad news: I doused it with powered sugar.
The good news: The cake is now covered and tucked away in the microwave.
The bad news: I know that the cake is in the microwave and a girl needs dessert after dinner doesn't she?!
There's a reason 'Devil' is in the title.
My Hit List
Just a couple things I've been enjoying lately...
Normally I am not a fan of dark chocolate but I cannot get enough of these almonds. And they work great on the WW plan. Score!
TNT: They know drama. They also know hilarious.
I am loving 'Men of a Certain Age'- Ray Romano is TV gold. This show is witty, laugh-out-loud hilarious and realistic. However, it does sadden me to think that I'm closer in age to this show than say... 'The Real World'. At some point, I've gotta give up 'the MTV.'
Lovin my new Nike kicks from Kohl's- on sale!

11 Weeks and growing...
Today Lil P is 11 weeks and growing...
and growing she is! Houston: we have a growth spurt! Formula is her best friend right now- going through almost two cans a week. She loves to eat up to 8 oz. every feeding and I'm wondering when we're going to have to break out the rice cereal. I'm sure it will be before the recommended 4 months.
She loves to bat at her toys and try to grab them... and is averaging 9 hours of sleep a night. Let's hope that continues next week after she transitions to daycare!
Here are a few pics from the week:
Trying out her new excersaucer for the first time, a little overwhelmed~

Breaking up the winter grind...
What better way to break up the winter blah's than with a good old fashioned road trip!
Annette, her sissy and I loaded up the car and took off for an adventure in Kansas City last weekend. And it was just what the doctor ordered! We ate, drank, shopped and checked out the sites in the newly remodeled Power and Light District. The perfect mini-getaway!
View from our room~
Of course our trip wouldn't be complete without a stop at a Diners, Drive-Ins & Dive's place- here we are at Y&J's Snack Bar~
All in all a great weekend to break up the winter blues!
