I can't believe this is Rea's 2nd dance recital- and like a champ, she loved being on stage!
She still has so much fun with the weekly dance classes so we are signing her up again for next year. It'll be nice to have the summer off but she'll love starting again in the fall.
Thanks to all our family for coming to support her yesterday!
Hair in curlers, nails painted- I felt a little 'Toddlers and Tiara's' guilt.
Cousin love...
Gramma K.!
More cousin love!
Another successful recital!
Joys and tribulations, rants and rambles, insights and embarrassing moments...Taking in all of life and what it has to offer!

Adventureland 2013
Opening day!
The weather was perfect for opening day at Adventureland. We got there a couple hours before closing which is the great thing about having a season pass- we didn't have to spend all day there, trying to squeeze it all in- we can go back as much as we want... And I have a feeling Reagan will want to go back every day if she had her way!
She loved the rides- her favorite was the blue big rig with the double steering wheels... the froggy jump 'tickled her tummy' and she didn't throw a fit when I told her it was time to leave but she did tell me- 'Mommy I'm disappointed with that decision.' Mini donuts helped with the disappointment.
Of course we had to stop for a slushy and she was able to do most of the kiddie rides without having to wait in line- a very successful trip to Aland!

Wee Ball 2013
A little chilly but Rea had her first Wee ball practice and pictures on Saturday. I think she was a little hesitant because before we left she told me, 'But mommy I don't even know how to play that game.' I told her that's what practice was for and her coaches would help her learn.
As soon as she donned her shirt and cap she got so excited! She ran the bases, hit the ball and fielded balls. Even though she was the youngest player, she held her own. I can't wait for her first game; it's so cute watching the toddlers play!
Toddler photobomb:
I cheered from the sidelines....
While daddy helped on the field...
So excited to play!
Her friends:
Learning the basics:
Rea is #2-
Running bases (Rea is in the middle):
At bat:
The best part- snacks afterwards!

Switching Gears
I've never really given much thought to my career path. I had a good job with benefits and I was a rule follower. The perfect combination for a successful worker bee. A term I've always liked because the worker bees always got the job done.
A couple months ago I was asked to lead. Yes, I got a promotion (complete with a really nice office with an actual door and a great view of the city!). The transition to leader has given me a lot to think about...and I'm really excited for this new career path, new opportunity!
The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly. —Jim Rohn
My team surprised me with flowers, a plant for my new office and (they know me well) cake!
So I'm saying thanks, feeling blessed and ready to start a new chapter in my life!

Semi-Wordless Wednesday~ Anticipation
Backpack on, ready to roll...
She is SO ready to start school...
I don't have the heart to tell her it's going to be a couple more years...or that when she does start, she'll be going for 20 years! :)

I live for weekends. Said me, every Sunday night.
After a busy week it was nice to have some down time this weekend. Don't get me wrong, I love plans! But for once we didn't have any plans and I found myself loving the time at home, hanging out with Andy and peanut.
I was hoping Saturday would be nice for us to spend the day outside. We maybe got an hour with bubbles and it was just too chilly/windy. Rea had fun though! We picked up a pizza Saturday night at my all-time favorite spot, The Other Place, and watched The Lorax while Rea was awake and Lawless after Rea went to bed.
I had been wanting to get Rea involved in Kid's Church on Sunday mornings since she was old enough now. I was a little worried about how she would react since it was new... and she didn't know any of the other kiddos. I should remember to have faith in my baby girl. She had a blast! She introduced herself to the Kid's Church Director, gave him a high-five and never looked back.
Funny story: The kids director thought she acted more like she was 5 years old than 3 so we got the go ahead for her to attend Vacation Bible School this summer too even though she isn't technically 4 yet. She talked about Kid's Church all day long today and it reaffirmed my commitment to getting us involved in more church activities.
After bath train time:
In the next few weeks we'll be finishing up her dance with a recital, starting adventures in Wee ball, starting toddler church night during the week and getting her ready for swim lessons. Looking forward to all of our activities we have on the horizon!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Dusting off winter's cobwebs
Spring has sprung! Never mind there is snow in our forecast, we had a great time playing outside all weekend...
Conquering the slide- this year, no fear!
Who doesn't bust out dance moves during sand time? She was THAT happy to get down and dirty..
Honestly, one of my favorite sounds: toddler making a truck noise. Her cute little toddler voice saying 'vroom vroom!'
She literally squealed when she spied the neighbor boys. They ran up the driveway and gave each other hugs. She loves them so!
Happy spring!
